A start-up is trying out a 2011 version of the tech magazine idea: a magazine about tablets, available only on the iPad, Technologizer reported today.
TabTimes will launch in the autumn, and has editorial staffers formerly from PC Magazine, GamePro, InfoWorld and Maximum PC, among others.
TabTimes will be a free iPad app, and will publish original content daily, according to paidContent. The business model is advertising-based.
“Using tablets as our main publishing platform will give us a unique understanding of the tablet universe,” George Jones, who will be running editorial operations, said in a statement.
