The AOL Huffington Post Media announced to launch two new sites: HuffPost Women and HuffPost Parents Monday, according to a company release posted on Market Wire.
Farah Miller, most recently a digital editor for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, has been designated managing editor of Parents, and Margaret Wheeler Johnson has been named editor for Women, Media Post reported.
The new verticals, targeting affluent women, will focus on "ideas about success and fulfillment." They will feature real-time news and opinion, as well as cultivate engaged communities.
"HuffPost Women and HuffPost Parents will be part of a highly social community where people can connect, swap ideas, and lend support. HuffPost Parents is a place where parents can come together and share their experiences -- from the heartfelt to the hilarious, from the useful to the purely entertaining," said Arianna Huffington, president and editor in chief of The AOL Huffington Post Media Group.
HuffPost Women will features original video, commentary and news coverage focused on career, money, relationship advice, and moving personal stories that women crave to know.
HuffPost Parents will include original reported pieces, essays, videos, slide shows, blog posts, and interactive infographics.
