Smartphone use skews younger in Europe: Study

The number of young people using smartphones in Europe far surpass the average penetration rate among all respondents for the Deloitte “Global Mobile Consumer Survey” in 2013. In Spain, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Germany, more than 80 percent of those ages 18 to 34 own a smartphone, while smartphone ownership among all survey participants in each of the selected European countries range from 69 percent in Spain to 39 percent in Belgium.
