Video represents the highest volume and fastest growing mobile traffic application, while tablets represent the fastest growing mobile traffic device, and mobile phones represent the highest volume device for mobile traffic, according to the Cisco VNI Mobile Forecast. Cisco predicts tablets will almost achieve parity with laptops by 2017. Asia Pacific is by far the fastest growing and highest volume region for mobile traffic, now and projected to 2017, according to the study.
