Smartphone and tablet usage are growing exponentially around
the world. Although smartphone usage is
growing across age groups, it’s not surprising that younger people use them the
most. Eighty percent of 18-to 24-year-olds, and 79 percent of 25-to
34-year-olds own smartphones. Meanwhile, the 65+ age group has the lowest
smartphone penetration in developed countries, at 34 percent, according to
Deloitte’s 2013 Global Mobile Consumer Survey.
