Sunday Express sales up by 12.8%

Sunday Express and The Sunday Telegraph marked the biggest month-on-month sales growth among Sunday newspapers in the United Kingdom in April, according to the latest figures released by the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC).


The Sunday Express had a 12.84 percent month-over-month sales increase in April to 601,666, or 4.76 percent up year-over-year, Media Guardian reported.


The Sunday Telegraph gained 5.73 percent month-over-month to 509,557, but its circulation dropped 0.12 percent compared to the same period in 2010.


Other gainers included the Daily Star Sunday, Sunday Mirror and Mail on Sunday, with month-on-month rises of 3% or greater.


News of the World was down 2.18 percent month-on-month and 10.3 percent year on year, while The Sunday Times declined by 1.31 percent and 10.3 percent, respectively. Media Guardian reported.
