Study: LinkedIn most valuable social network

Although Facebook is still the most often used social network, LinkedIn has become the most valued, according to a recent study, “The S-Net: A Study in Social Media Usage & Behavior,” by ROI Research.

Seventy percent of the 2,997 survey participants log into Facebook at least once daily, while only two out of 10 do so on LinkedIn, the study found.

Fifty-nine percent of the respondents, compared to 41 percent in 2010, considered LinkedIn as the most important site to have a profile on, Media Post report.

Twitter came next with 58 percent who chose it as the most important site, up from 40 percent, while YouTube followed, at 55 percent and 52 percent, and MySpace at 53 percent and 39 percent, respectively.

Facebook is the only site which importance was in decline, with 53 percent pick in 2011, versus 56 percent in 2010, according to the study.
